Join Our Teaching Team

Blissfully Yours Ballet is growing, and we’re looking for thoughtful, inspiring instructors to join our studio.

We are currently seeking:

  • Permanent instructor for Monday and/or Tuesday evenings

  • Substitute teachers who are available throughout our schedule.

If you are passionate about ballet, love working with adults, and believe in creating an encouraging and respectful learning environment, we would love to hear from you.

About Blissfully Yours Ballet

Blissfully Yours Ballet is dedicated exclusively to adult dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Our mission is to make ballet accessible while honoring the integrity and depth of the technique.

We believe in:

  • Meeting dancers where they are

  • Setting realistic, body-aware expectations

  • Teaching with creativity, adaptability, and care

  • Approaching ballet technique through understanding, so it can safely and effectively support movement

  • Staying curious and collaborative, recognizing that teaching is also an opportunity to keep learning

Rather than relying on tradition alone, we value understanding the why behind technique—drawing from anatomy, biomechanics, and experience to help dancers find what works in their individual bodies.

Our classes are intentionally small (typically 7–9 dancers or fewer), allowing instructors to provide individualized attention, meaningful corrections, and genuine connection with each student.

Our dancers range in age from 18 to 70+, from absolute beginner through advanced and pointe. They are here because they want to learn, grow, and feel empowered in their dancing.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for instructors who are:

  • Kind, communicative, and encouraging

  • Deeply knowledgeable in ballet technique and pedagogy

  • Passionate about working with adult dancers

  • Creative, curious, and adaptable in their teaching approach

  • Interested in exploring why movement works—not just how it looks

  • Able to create an environment where dancers feel respected, capable, and inspired

Our dancers return not only to improve, but because they feel seen, supported, and valued in your class.

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of ballet training

  • Previous ballet teaching experience (required)

  • Pointe teaching experience (required)

  • Experience teaching adults (strongly preferred)

  • Strong understanding of ballet and pointe technique

  • Ability to adapt teaching for different bodies and abilities

  • Thoughtful, analytical, and creative approach to instruction
